![]() ![]() Since it’s not too big of a change, you may wonder if you’re seeing things, but once you get used to it, you’ll notice the font’s as the newcomer that it is. You’ll also see it as the font for stickers like “Location” and when you mention other IG users in your Story or Reel. You’ll see the font appear as the first option in the typeface line-up. To try out the font yourself, begin creating a Story or Reel and add text over it. “ Instagram Sans is a contemporary remix of grotesque and geometric styles,” per a Meta announcement about the change. According to Meta, the Instagram Sans replaced the “Modern” style in the type tool on Stories. This is an exceptionally clean, modern font that would work well for a number of different brands. Enjoy quick browsing, easy use in desktop applications or on the web, and endless typographic inspiration. It’s free to use in two of its variants here. The first font we want to look at for 2023 is Resist Sans. Instagram’s newest font, Instagram Sans, looks similar to the still-available Comic Sans, but new self-named font has its own unique vibe. Let’s take a look at the best free fonts that are available for commercial use in 2023. The update went live on May 23 and has since been popping up on Stories and Reels in the form of text, location tags, hashtags, and mentions. Here’s what to know about the newest option and everything you can do with it on the app. To help you keep up with the changes, you probably want to know where to find Instagram’s new font for 2022. The new-new on your app was also accompanied by a reimagined logo with more vibrant colors. Your go-to spot to share your fave pics and create Stories quietly added a new font option called Instagram Sans. If you’ve noticed some subtle changes to the app recently, that’s because Instagram hit refresh on its font and logo. You can change the color of the text as well as the brush mark. No, you’re not imagining things - your Instagram looks different. As you can see below, when you tap the ‘highlight’ icon at the top of your screen after typing your text, a brush mark appears behind the letters. The highlight feature on this font separates it from the rests. To do this just type your desired text, tap the ‘highlight’ icon at the top of your screen, and then the color option if you desire to change that too. Like the others mentioned, this font also allows the double-layer feature. This font definitely gives off a sophisticated feel. ![]() And just like other fonts you can change the color of the text by using the color wheel or picker tool. As pictured below, you can choose to have the font be filled in or just an outline of the text. This one also lets you play around with the highlight feature. Modern is another new font featured on Instagram stories. ![]() From there you can play with the color overlay options and see what fits your story best! Before, I would spend time writing out my text twice in different colors and then try to precisely layer them over one another. Now this font has the option to have a double-layer. Heres an example of a template using the Kolik font. Strong is an upgraded version of a font we had before. It is a geometric sans serif font with a clean structure for bold headlines. Begin to type and from there you will be able to change the font.Capture or upload the photo of your choice. Make sure your Instagram app is up to date (you can do this within the app store). You can still do that, but now Instagram offers some more creativity with text within the app itself. For those who are just as obsessed with creating the most visually appealing stories as I am- you’re in luck! Instagram has officially launched new fonts for stories! In a previous blog, I featured how to upload custom fonts to Instagram stories. We are all guilty of spending time perfecting our Instagram stories and making sure they are just right. ![]()
